ABOUT HAMPTONS HIGH

We are a high school which opened our doors in 2019. We are located in Sunningdale, Durban North, with over 30 years in educational experience and are an extension of Hamptons Primary. We will continue to aspire to empower every individual at Hamptons High to develop holistically, becoming confident, independent, innovative and future orientated.

Our Ethos

We aspire to empower every individual at Hamptons High to develop holistically, becoming confident, independent, innovative and future orientated.

We believe that we must build a generation of problem solving leaders by challenging students to develop a thirst for knowledge and enabling them to reach their full potential.

Our Vision

To teach, model and encourage every student at Hamptons High to discover and develop their unique gifts so they may succeed in, and contribute to an ever-changing world.

Our Mission

The mission of Hamptons High is to provide a unique and challenging learning environment that prepares the diverse, gifted and talented students of the school for leadership in a global society.

ACADEMICS

Hamptons High follows the CAPS Curriculum prescribed by the Department of Education. Our learners benefit from the individual care and attention that small classes bring, learning in a well-equipped, stimulating, modern environment. At Hamptons High, we believe that students should be encouraged to discover, explore, debate and problem solve.

We believe that real learning comes from constructing knowledge not simply from receiving it. When students take ownership of their learning, their levels of interest and confidence skyrocket. Learning becomes a fun and engaging process, whether a student is working to address a knowledge gap or seeking a new challenge.
